Temporality and firm de-internationalization: Three historical approaches

This paper contributes to process-oriented international business research by showing how three distinct historical approaches can enrich theoretical understanding concerning temporality in firm de-internationalization. First, we show comparative analysis unleashes the causal structure of process and provides explanatory temporal grounding mechanisms driving process. Second, explicate interpretive history reveals embeddedness de-internationalization prevailing spirit time. Finally, consider poststructuralist enables us focus on strong subjectivity individuals which multiple temporalities come together a chaotic combination underlying behavior.
